Vision

The department of sociology at T. N. B College, Bhagalpur has evolved with time and we believe in excellence with social responsibility and commitment. The department concentrates upon some major carefully identified programmes which are of relevance to student’s progress and development.
With the help of dedicated faculty we strive towards preparing students for competitive exams with a special focus on their holistic social development. Moreover we recognise the necessity of Indian studies in humanities in a wider diverse perspective and wish to set a benchmark for others in this field.

Brief History

The Department of Sociology was established in the year 1995.The department encourages students to engage in academic activities, leading to understanding of society through active participation not only in classroom but outside as well . Faculty members are also committed to inspire and groom the students.
